Pairing links a machine to your account once. After that, every session from every installed harness on that machine appears in the app automatically — no per-session scans.

A QR appears in your terminal. Open the app, tap scan, and point it at the QR. Done.

How it works

The QR carries a short-lived, single-use pairing code — never a durable token. The code is matched by hash and rides the request body, never the URL, so it can't leak into logs. On approval, your machine receives a token that is stored only as a peppered hash on our servers and kept in your OS keychain locally. You only pair once per machine.

Headless / SSH

No camera? birdybeep pair also prints a short manual code (for example BRDY-7F3K) you can type into the app's manual-entry screen. Codes expire after a few minutes and are single-use.

Revoke anytime

You can revoke or rotate a machine from the app at any time — revoking immediately kills its token (added to a hot deny-list) and its sessions. See security & privacy for details.
